HP Photosmart C7288 Driver Download

The HP Photosmart C7288 allows users to perform multiple functions such as printing, scanning, faxing, and copying. If you have problems with any of these features, you must first resolve the problem before doing anything else. If the problem persists, do not try to open the printer and modify the hardware in any way. Instead, put the printer to a professional or contact HP.

Instructions

1.Print a "self-test report" if you receive a warning message on your printer screen. To do this, click the "Power" button to turn on the printer, then press "Setup" on the printer control panel and press the right arrow until the word "Print Report" appears on the control panel screen. Press "OK" and the "self-test report" is printed. If the printer prints the self-test report, the warning message is false. If the printer does not print, go to step 2.

2.clear the paper path if you receive a message on the control panel that says "Paper Jam". To do this, turn on the printer, and then unplug the power cord and all connecting cables. Open the access door by lifting it to the front center of the printer. Carefully remove the paper jam and plug all the cables back in.

3.Clean the scanner glass if you encounter lines through a scanned image. To do this, turn off the printer and unplug the power cord. Open the scanner cover and clean the scanner glass with a soft, lint-free cloth and glass cleaner. Use another cloth to completely dry the scanner glass. Plug in the power cord and try your scanning job.

4.install the full scanner driver feature if you attempt a scan and the device does not respond. See "Resources" for a link to download the scanner drivers for the HP Photosmart C7280. Alternatively, you can scan using Microsoft Paint, Windows Photo Gallery, or Windows Fax and Scan if any of these applications are installed on your computer.

5.Make sure that the phone line is correctly inserted into the HP Photosmart if you have problems sending or receiving a fax.

6.Enable "Fit to Page" if you try to make a copy and the right edge is cut. To do this, press "Copy" in the printer control panel menu, then press the right arrow to select "Size". Press the "OK" button to access the "option size" menu. Press the down arrow to select "Fit to Page" and press "OK." Try the copy job.

7.Perform a hard reset of the printer if the previous steps failed. Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Wait a few seconds and plug the power cord in. Try your printing, scanning, faxing or copying.
